Dawn Belden
Dawn Belden has lived in Ojai for most of her life. She received a Master’s degree from Jean Houston’s Social Artistry graduate program, and she is a Level 4 Learning Styles Consultant. Dawn has taught both high school as well as elementary school via various private distance learning programs, including Laurel Springs and Global Village. She feels passionate about education and utilizes her degree in Social Artistry by choosing work that reflects her values of service and contribution. Her background has facilitated the necessary foundation from which to jump into being the President of the Santa Barbara Thermography Center. Because she is committed to empowering her clients - especially women - to heal their bodies, her early background in alternative studies has provided her with a strong foundation in healthcare. And, with regards to Thermography Dawn feels that Thermography gives people a way to actually see, through imagery, the efficacy of their bodies. When clients are able to see themselves in such a way they become effective and pro-active in monitoring and orchestrating their health. In a nutshell thermography entrusts clients to be agents of change in a self-directed and supported way.
Thermography is a non- violating and non- invasive approach to screening for disease in the breast or body. The screening technique can detect indications of breast disease up to 10 years before a mammogram. Thermography is also effective for dense breasts, small breasts and breasts with implants. It gives an integrated view of the body by providing pictures of our own unique patterns – a blueprint of wholeness, reinforcing the fact that we are not made up of disconnected parts, but rather a weave of interacting neurological and physiological processes. This procedure empowers women to make decisions at the earliest moment possible and to take a pro-active and holistic approach to their health through nutrition, hormone balancing and healthy detoxification.
The thermography center has mobile units that travel throughout many locations in California. We plan to make thermography as common as the yearly pap and mammography a thing of the past.
