Our Philosophy
“First of all, do no harm,” the old motto of Hippocrates, is not a bad place to start. We exist, as a clinic, to try to restore people to health. We do this by looking for the cause of their trouble, and treating it with appropriate means to attempt to reverse whatever damage has occurred and restore normal function.
It is not always possible to reverse all the damage and restore normal function, but we know enough in the 21st century about the types of damage that can occur, and about means of restoring normal function, that we can make things better quite often, and can sometimes make it all the way back to full, vibrant health.
We do this in concert with the referring physician. We do not suddenly stop vital medications, nor subject our patients to painful or dangerous procedures. Instead, we work within the known limits of physiology and biochemistry to give the body the means to restore healthy function.
